Introduction
Huo is one of my best friends I get acquainted with on the internet. She want a music player which can be put on the sidebar of her blog. She is a newbie in the internet and WordPress. Although to create a XML config file and playlist is very easy, it is still too hard for a green hand like her. That is why I created this plugin—making it easy.
Widget support and user friendly administration interface are the most important two features of this plugin. But the features of the player itself, e.g. shuffle the playlist, are not under my control. The player this plugin used was found on the internet, they are created with flash. This kind of player has the best browser compatibility.
The flash player of the first version(8.x~9.x) of this plugin is like this:
I found this player on the internet and I don’t know who is the author. This player is very simple. You can not change the color scheme and make full control of its dimension. Its advantage is tiny, just 8k bytes.
The flash player of the now version(10.0.x) of this plugin is like this:
This player is the famous JW player(the latest version of it is v4.4). I choose the version 2.3 because it is tiny(9.5k bytes) and it is good enough to be a MP3 player. You can change the color scheme of it, change the background image, set the default volumn, shuffle the playlist and so on. It’s great!

Note: The version 10.x does not support PHP 4.x. If the PHP version on your web server is under 5, you should use 9.x of this plugin.
Updated：（2008年9月23日20:08:07）已经修复了不能支持PHP4的问题了，插件的内部结构也做了小小的改动，升级的时候也不会覆盖原来的播放列表了。升级说明看这里。
Updated：（2008年8月19日20:08:07）非常遗憾，此插件目前只支持PHP5及以上版本。这是我考虑不周了。如果是PHP5以下版本的同学想用，可以装上，但是不能在后台编辑播放列表，必须手动编辑playlist.xml文件。
曾几何时，我在一个博客上看到这个播放器，那时候，那个是装在Default主题上的，觉得很别致，很好看，后来，那个博客不知怎么关掉了，所以我就找不到了。
前些日子，由我作为客服支持的博客《双霍记》提出播放音乐的需求，我开始狂找这款播放器，终于给我找到，遗憾的是，竟然不是一个网络服务（我个人比较喜欢网络服务类的），是一个单机的Flash版本MP3播放器。
为了便于伟大的上帝（就是霍霍，客户嘛）使用，我将其Widget化了，播放列表的那个xml文件，也通过后台管理页面来读写了。

Hello, and thanks for your efforts! This is a very nice player, and seems to be a lot more full-featured than most of the minimalist chicklet-ish players out there for Wordpress!
A note, however: There is a problem in this latest update (10.0.8): Immediately upon updating through Wordpress' admin interface, the player completely broke, refusing to load, and instead displaying the notice to install Flash player. I am currently running the latest version of Wordpress, and the latest flash version is installed, (just to be certain, I re-installed Flash from Adobe's site). No go.
However, I was able to bring the player back to life after discovering that the download link on the site still referred to 10.0.4, and once I downgraded, the player came right back.
There seems to be something a bit glitchy in the newest version that prevents the player from working on current installs of Flash/Wordpress. Just a heads-up, and a hearty thank-you from an otherwise-satisfied weasel! >^_^<

i have upload my song to rapidshare and 4shared, but it still cant be played to my player.
it always shown "0% loaded"

Fist of all thank you for the great plugin.
Then a question: Is the plugin working correctly with Wordpress 2.8? Because I have installed the plugin and there is fmp-jw-files -folder inside the wp-content folder. And the fmp-jw-files -folder includes folders configs and playlists witch both includes xml -files. Still when opening fmp_config_editor and fmp_playlist_editor pages from options on dashboard there is only blank page.

i have a problem !!! i installed the player it's ok. why says "Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!" what to do ? please help me :S

I am very new to this stuff, how do I find the URL to my mp3? I thought URL was like a web address? My songs are on my hard drive.

Yes, URL is the web address of your songs. If your songs are on your hard drive, you should upload them to your web host.

I like the look of the JW player, but is it possible to extract the gradient in the middle. Is doesn't add anything. When having a light background you barely see it, when you have a dark background it's rather disturbing.
Could you tell me the script code I should enter on my sidebar.php file to add it to it without ussing Widget?

Great plugin... how do you adjust settings so that the player is on one page only?
Great Plug In! I had the previous version and I recently uploaded the new plug-in and activated it, but I can not see it as an option when I go to the Appearance page.
I am operating with Wordpress version 2.7.1. I replaced the old files with the new files, but I can not see it all as option on the Plug-in page. What could be the matter?
